Audrey, an avid traveler, decided to settle in Lyon, in a typical Canut apartment on the slopes of Croix-Rousse. This apartment, still in its raw state, needed a complete renovation to become the cozy haven she dreamed of. The existing mezzanine was preserved and now houses two bedrooms and a dressing area. The Audrey project was designed to harmoniously blend tradition and modernity.

Upon entering, located under the mezzanine, one discovers a space designed to be both functional and inviting, with ample storage and access to the sleeping area. The staircase is the standout architectural element of this project, featuring the use of hollow joints and wood. It is also highly practical, incorporating storage and a small laundry room.

The layout of this loft was designed to create harmonious visual connections between each area, with a focus on optimizing space and preserving the authentic charm of the place. The living room seamlessly integrates with original elements such as exposed stone and wooden beams, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The chosen materials, like wood and metal, add a modern touch while respecting the history of the space.

The kitchen, open to the living room, is a convivial and functional area. Clever storage solutions and careful finishes optimize every corner, making the kitchen a pleasure to use and live in.The owner, having lived abroad for many years, wanted the bathroom to reflect her travels. Inspired by Morocco, the design incorporates artisanal elements that add soft textures and unique craftsmanship.

The Audrey project is a beautiful example of a renovation where every detail was considered to create a harmonious and welcoming environment, highlighting the history and personality of the space.
